Reporting to: Department Supervisor

Skill/Qualifications:

• Work in an outdoor environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Chemical knowledge or relevant experience
• Tow motor experience, an asset
• Multitask and work under pressure

Job Description Responsibilities include:

• Connect hoses / pipes / pumps
• Load and unload products safely into or from tank trucks, storage tanks, containers, or drums, avoiding cross-contamination
• Blend product in mixing tanks
• Check material, take samples and check inventory
• Fill out production reports / equipment maintenance reports, including manifests
• Operate tow motor
• Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
• Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area
• Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable Codes
• Maintain good working relationship with all coworkers and customers
• Some overtime required
• Perform other assignments as required

Skill/Qualifications:

• Chemical or Environmental Technology Diploma, or related field of study
• Strong organizational skills
•  Keen attention to detail
• Exemplary communication skills
• Work in an outdoor environment

Main Duties:

• Sample inbound material, conduct screening analysis, record results
• Ensure appropriate data entry is completed
• De-pack loose packs, categorize, strap and track outgoing material
• Interpret and compare results
• Operate a tank farm and associated pumps, valves, and couplings
• Blending and preparing product to prescribed recipe using pumps and mixers
• Maintain a high level of organization in a fluid environment
• Communicate and liaise with other departments
• Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area
• Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
• Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable Codes
• Maintain good working relationship with coworkers and customers
• Some overtime required
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor
